Add and Manage Rider Profiles on Your CAROL Bike

This article shows how additional riders create and use profiles on the bike, how they register, and how profiles link to the bike’s membership.

The membership is linked to the bike, not to each rider individually.

Each rider still needs their own profile so their workouts, progress, Fitness Score, and training recommendations are tracked separately.

Add or log in using a new rider profile

  1. From the bike’s login screen, tap Login or register new user (located bottom right).
  2. Follow the on-screen steps to log in
    OR
    registration steps. The new rider registers directly on the bike by entering their own email address and choosing a password.
  3. After logoin OR registration, the new rider profile will appear on the bike’s profile selection screen for fast access.

 

Does each additional rider need their own membership?

Additional riders do not need to purchase a separate membership if they are using the same CAROL Bike with an active membership.

The membership is associated with the bike. Rider profiles created on that bike can access the relevant membership features through that bike’s active membership.

For example, if one household has a CAROL Bike with an active membership, other members of the household can create their own rider profiles on that bike and train under the same bike membership.

 

How registration works

When an additional rider creates a profile, they are asked to register using their own details.

This creates a separate rider profile so the system can track that rider’s individual training data. Their profile is separate from the main rider’s profile, but it is still used on the same bike.

The main purpose of registration is to make sure each rider has their own personal workout history, progress tracking, and recommendations.

 

How profiles link to the bike membership

The bike membership gives access to membership features on that specific bike.

Additional rider profiles created on the bike are linked to that bike environment. They do not each carry a separate paid subscription.

In simple terms:

  • The membership belongs to the bike.
  • Each rider profile belongs to an individual rider.
  • The rider profile uses the bike’s active membership when training on that bike.
  • Each rider’s workout data remains separate.

 

Why each rider should use their own profile

Each rider should always select their own profile before starting a workout.

This is important because CAROL personalizes workouts based on each rider’s performance and progress. Sharing one profile between multiple people can affect the accuracy of the training recommendations and metrics.

Using separate profiles helps ensure that each rider receives the correct resistance, workout history, Fitness Score, and progress tracking.

 

Can an additional rider use the CAROL mobile app?

Additional riders should use the same login details they used when creating or registering their profile, where applicable.

This allows them to view their own workout history and progress inside the CAROL mobile app and online at i.carolbike.com.

 

Troubleshooting

The additional rider cannot access membership features

Please check that the CAROL Bike has an active membership. If the bike membership is active, additional profiles on that bike should be able to access the membership features available on that bike.

The wrong rider completed a workout on someone else’s profile

The workout will be saved under the profile that was selected at the time. Before starting each workout, make sure the correct rider profile is selected.

A rider has created a duplicate profile

If a rider accidentally creates more than one profile, they should use the correct profile going forward to keep their progress consistent. Contact CAROL Support if help is needed reviewing or managing profiles.

Remove saved rider profiles

Tap and hold the profile icon to activate edit mode or activate manage profiles view from the settings menu.
